Katsina State Ministry for Local Government and Emirate Affairs has monitored the distribution of Modern Hospital Equipments jointly procured for 68 PHCs recently rehabilitated across the 34 LGAs of the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alhaji Mas’udu Almustapha Banye disclosed this on when he monitored the distribution exercise of another batch of hospital equipments for Dabawa and Hayin Gada PHCs in Dutsinma Centre of the Ministry.
The equipments were distributed to 20 Primary Healthcare Centres across 10 local government areas under Dutsinma and Dàura Zonal Centres of the Ministry which brings the total to 60 out of the 68 benefitting PHCs recently rehabilitated across the 34 LGAs of the state.
The MLGEA assigned all its Directors to the 10 respective LGAs under Dutsinma and Dàura Zonal Centres to monitor and ensure proper handing over of the equipments to the relevant officials of the LGAs and the benefitting PHCs.
The benefitting LGAs under Dutsinma Zonal Centre include Batsari, Danmusa, Dutsinma, Kurfi and Safana, while Daura Zonal Centre has Baure, Dàura, Mai’adua Sandamu and Zango.
The 10 benefitting PHCs in Dutsinma Zonal Centre that were selected from 5 LGAs include Dabawa and Hayin Gada in Dutsinma LGA, Shirgi and Kukar Toro in Batsari LGA, Dandire and Maidabino in Danmusa LGA, Kurfi and Kaware in Kurfi LGA, ‘Yarlilo and Baure in Safana LGA.
Other 10 PHCs from 5 LGAs of Daura Zonal Centre include Dan Kum and Faskari in Baure LGA, Sharawa and Duhu in Dàura LGA, Maigatari and Kwadage in Mai’adua LGA, Lemo and Kwasarawa in Sandamu LGA, Dargage and Kawurin Malamai in Zango LGA.
Alhaji Mas’udu Banye was delighted for witnessing the successful handing over of the equipments to the rightful custodians, and reemphasised that the equipments were not meant for storage butp proper utilisation to promote healthcare services for the benefitting communities.
