Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katrina State has reaffirmed support for  implementing policies, programs, and projects that aligned with his campaign promises.

The Governor made this declaration at the opening ceremony of a 3-Day Labour/Trade Union retreat themed “Labour Management Relations: Strengthening the Existing Bond of Relationship for Robust and Meaningful Engagement” held at the Katsina Motel Conference Hall.
A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov Radda said the governor emphasized the importance of the retreat, stating, “Labour and government hold the keys to a prosperous and harmonious future for our state.
This retreat is intended to deliberate and confirm our commitment to nurturing positive labour-government relationships, fostering understanding, and building stronger ties for the collective progress of Katsina State.”
The governor urged labour leaders to renew their dedication to the progress of all citizens, demonstrate exemplary leadership, and engage in critical thinking on how best to support the government and its people. He noted,
“The challenges of today, especially those of financial inadequacy and security, require a strategic approach, broad collaborations, and dialogue. These can be achieved through educative retreats such as this.”
Governor Radda expressed hope that the retreat would yield recommendations for socio-economic development and enhanced welfare for workers in the state.
Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Tanimu Lawal Saulawa, outlined the retreat’s three major goals: exchanging views and sharing ideas of great concern, strengthening labour-government relationships, and enhancing capacity for dialogue and mediation. He encouraged participants to pay close attention and utilize the knowledge acquired to improve relationships and surmount challenges for a prosperous society.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Husaini Hamisu Yanduna, commended Governor Radda for his labour-friendly governance and expressed hope that participants would disseminate the knowledge gained to those unable to attend.
