Kaduna Renew’s commitment to welfare of teachers

The Government of Kaduna State has renewed it commitment to the welfare of teachers to enhance service delivery, Governor Uba Sani has said.

The governor said this through the Commissioner of Education, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, at this year’s World Teachers Day celrbrations
Governor Uba Sani noted that teachers play significant role in shaping the society for meaningful progress, maintaining that his administration would equally accord serious attention to training and retraining of teachers in all ramifications to enhance teaching and learning.
In a remark the National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Comrade Titus Audu Amba, described the Teachers Day as historic toward encouraging teaching profession worldwide. He commended teachers for their commitment and self sacrifice.
He stated that NUT as teachers apex body would not relent toward encouraging members of the teaching profession.
In her speech, the Head of the State Civil Service, Mrs Jummai Bako was full of praises for teachers, and assured of Governor Uba Sani’s full support to the teachers.
She added that her office was doing alot to ensure the elongation of teachers in the payroll of the Kaduna State government.
Jummai admonished them to remain committed and adhere strictly to the ethics and laws governing the teaching profession, for positive results.
The Guest Speaker at the occasion, Abubakar Muhammad emphasised the importance of training and retraining of teachers, as well as their welfare.
Also speaking, the Kaduna State branch Chairman of NUT, Comrade Ibrahim Dalhatu commended the present administration in the state for supporting the education sector effectively.
