Kano police launches aggressive manhunt of killers of family

The Kano State Police  Command has lunched a full scale manhunt of assailants of six children and their mother Fatima Abubakar in Dorayi-Chiranchi quarters in Kano metropolis. The high powered investigation team is led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operation Lawal Isa Mani.

The incident happened in the afternoon of this day when unknown hoodlums broke into the house while head of the family Malam Haruna Bashi was away  for his business.

The hoodlums, according to reports used dangerous weapons to inflict fatal injuries to the victims and flung the youngest child into a water well in the house.

A funeral prayer session for the deceased had already been conducted according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Adamu Bakori have expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased through their Spokespersons, Sanusi Bature and Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Kiyawa.

Governor Abba describe the gruesome murder as heinous and unacceptable and urged the state residents to remain calm while the state police swings into action to bring the culprits to book.
