Members of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) have been assured of recognition and inclusiveness as the All Progressives Congress, APC prepares for future election.
The confidence was offered by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon
Tajuddeen Abbas during the inauguration of the Zone 2 steering committee of former CPC members in Kaduna.
He said his emergence as speaker wasa product of the struggles and dedication of CPC members, noting that he was once in opposition but is now in power due to their commitment and unity.
The speaker described the gathering as unprecedented, calling for unity and renewed dedication in support of
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna state governor, Sen Uba Sani.
He pledged to wipe away the tears of former CPC members. respect them fully, and ensure that government initiatives reach Kaduna state, annancing support measures for the group, including the provision of vehicles to all local government in the new regular radio programs for the group under APC and not as a separate political party.
In his remark the secretary to the Kaduna state government, Dr Abdulkadir Maazu Meyere who represented the governor, assured that the governor would continue to carry everyone along, stressing that former CPC members had not been forgotten.
He urged them to intensify efforts, forward voter registration and renewal to ensure APCs success in 2027.
Earlier, the National chairman of the defunct CPC , Alhaji Ahmadu Yaro Coca Vola said the speaker had done everything possible for former CPC members, pleading total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, the Speaker and all APC office holders ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also appealed for the inclusion of members in the dividend of democracy.
