Kaduna JNI Establishes Committee on State Conference

 Kaduna State Chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has set up a committee that is saddled with the task of organising a state conference to support the efforts of Governor Uba Sani towards the promotion of unity in the state.

  The committee, which is chaired by the former Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Idris Balarabe Jigo, has other notable persons as members. They include Dr Musa Ridwan who is a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, renowned Islamic cleric-Sheikh Halliru Abdullahi Maraya, seasoned journalist-Alhaji Shuaibu Gimi, Imam Rabi’u Ganganfa, Alhaji Musa Magauri and a former permanent secretary in the state-Alhaji AbdulRahman Mahmoud-who is also to serve as secretary.

  While inaugurating the committee in Kaduna recently,  Chairman of Kaduna State JNI and also holder of the traditional title of Wakilin Makarantar Zazzau, Professor Muhammad Shafi’u Abdullahi, said the chairman and members of the committee were chosen on their personal merit and therefore charged them to carry out the assignment with dedication.

  Responding, the committee chairman lauded JNI’s decision to organise the conference and expressed appreciation for the recognition, assuring that the committee would try to conclude the assignment within the stipulated period.

  The committee is mandated to work out modalities for the conduct of the conference  during which highly respected intellectuals will make presentations on justice, equity  and harmony in Islam for the purpose of promoting unity and development in Kaduna State. Participants will be drawn from across the state and even beyond.
