Residents of Kebbi State have been charged to intensify prayers for sustainable peace across Nigeria.
The charge was given by Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu while felicitating with Muslim Ummah in a Sallah message to mark the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration on Friday.
The governor, who described prayer as a path to attaining growth and development of any society, also advised the general public to pray individually and collectively for peace to reign.
The governor called on Muslims to use the Sallah period to mend some moribund relationships for the good of the society.
He used the medium to encourage people of the state, irrespective of political, religious, or ethnic leaning to be their brother’s keepers, “so that collectively we will facilitate peace, thereby guaranteeing sustainable growth and development.”
The governor solicited the support and cooperation of all in the implementation of good policies and programmes for the good of the state.
