To ensure successful Hajj 2025 operations for Kano State contingents, Governor Abba Yusuf will personally accompany intending pilgrims from the state to Saudi Arabia.

While addressing participants during Hajj orientation programme held in Kano, Governor Yusuf emphasised that the pilgrimage was a profound act of devotion that calls for commitment.

“Hajj is not an ordinary journey—it is a sacred religious duty. I will personally lead our pilgrims to provide guidance and ensure the experience is smooth, organised, and spiritually rewarding,” the governor affirmed.

The governor spoke through his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, and announced additional support structures to be put in place for the benefit of Kano pilgrims.

He stressed that dedicated personnel had been assigned to assist pilgrims at various stages, from their departure from Nigeria to their movement and stay while in Saudi Arabia.

“We’ve assembled special teams that will assist our pilgrims from the airport to their accommodation and throughout the entire Hajj period. Our mission is to deliver the most seamless and secure pilgrimage in the history of Kano State,” Yusuf assured.

He also delivered a stern reminder on discipline and conduct, particularly targeting younger pilgrims and women, urging them to represent Kano with integrity and uphold the values of the state.

“I call on our youth to shun any actions that could tarnish our image. And to our women, remember the honour and modesty Kano women are known for—carry yourselves with pride and reflect our values with dignity,” he said.
