Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has joined diplomats, heads of international organizations and government officials to bid farewell to the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Dr. Ndiamé Diop, at a sent-forth dinner celebrating Dr. Diop’s promotion within the World Bank.
Speaking at the event, Governor Radda expressed heartfelt appreciation for Dr. Diop’s contributions during his tenure in Nigeria.
“On behalf of every citizen of Katsina State, we raise our voices in celebration of your incredible achievement! This promotion isn’t just a step forward—it’s a testament to your brilliance, hard work, and the extraordinary mark you’ve left in such a short time,” Governor Radda stated.
The Governor further asserted, “Though our paths crossed only briefly, your impact has been unforgettable. You brought more than skill to the table—you brought kindness, collaboration, and a rare generosity of spirit.”
“While your new role may take you far from our borders, know this: you carry a piece of Katsina in your heart, just as we carry pride in ours for your success,” the Governor added.
Since assuming his position, Dr. Diop has been instrumental in supporting Katsina State through various World Bank initiatives focused on security, rural development, and education, among other sectors.
