Katanas rate Government has expended over 10 billion Naira under the present Administration to develop the Basic Education Sector in the State.
Executive Chairman Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board,Dr Kabir Magaji dropped the hint at the commissioning and handing over the Yantakori Primary School in Mani !oral Government renovated by the Staff of Katsina State Branch of the Central Bank as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
Dr Kabir Magaji said the Expenditure covers constructions, rehabilitation, provisions of furniture, water points, equipment and developing the capacity of over 17 thousand Teachers.
He noted further that Education is not only the responsibilities of the Government but need the interventions of all stakeholders.
The SUBEB Chairman called on parents and guardians of the children to continue to send their wards to schools on the resumption date after end of holidays.
Earlier the Katsina State Branch Controller of the CBN, Ahmed Musa Ladan revealed that the renovation of one block of 2 classrooms has gulped over N7.3 million which was financed through individuals contributions of the staff.
The Branch Controller further stated that three projects were executed by the staff which include a block of 3 classrooms at Bargaja in Batagarawa, drilling of borehole at Katsina Mobile Police base and renovation of Madawa Health centre in Dutsi.
In his vote of thanks the Durbin Katsina, District Head of Mani,Alh Babani Isah Mani thanked the staff of the CBN for renovating the school for providing conducive atmosphere of teaching and learning.
He then called on the people to continue to cooperate and support the policies and programmes of the government to achieve positive developments in the State
