Governor Idris swears-in 21 LGC Chairmen
Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has sworn the newly elected Chairmen of the 22 local government councils and charged them to dedicate themselves in doing things that will be beneficial to the electorates who voted them in the just concluded local government elections.
The swearing ceremony which held at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, attracted top government officials, politicians, relatives and well-wishers of the chairmen who came from different parts of the state.
Governor Idris told the chairmen to exercise their duties based on the constitutional laws and manifesto of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
“This is the first elections in to the local government councils during my tenure as Governor of Kebbi State therefore, you will be different from the previous local government chairmen by assisting you with all necessary gestures that will move local government system forward.” Said Idris.
He called on the Chairmen to support the present administration in its efforts to change the narrative of local government system in the state.
Governor Idris however presented the new Chairmen with new-brand Hilux as officials Vehicles.
