Kano State Government has assured the provision of solar powered borehole to end water scarcity in Kunya town in Minjibir Local Government Area.
The Managing Director of the State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), Engineer Shamwilu Abdulkadir Isah gave the assurance when he paid a physical survey recently in Kunya town .

Kano State said Engineer Shamwilu said the present administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has put much emphasis to end water scarcity in all the nooks and crannies of the state as a result of the hardship being faced by the people in the town which necessitated the state government to provide the solar powered borehole.
He further added that Kano state Government will soon provide solar boreholes in three senatorial districts of the state to end the shortage of portable water. He urged the people in the area and the state in general to continue supporting the present administration to achieve the desired goals.
In his remarks the Chairman of Interim Management Committee of Minjibir Local Government Area, Alhaji Muhammad Yakubu Kunya appreciated the effort of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for assisting the people in the area to end the water scarcity facing them for years and assured to continue to rally round the present administration for it’s success
