Troops of the Joint Task Force, North West Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) launched an offensive operation in the terrorist strongholds located in Batsari and Safana Local Government Arras of Katsina state’and eliminated 10 terrorists and the remaining fled with bullet wounds.
This was announced in a statement issued by the spokesman the Joint Task Force, Captain Ibrahim Yahaya
Captain Yahaya reported that the terrorists had been found in possession of weapons and ammunition, as well as an operating motorcycle and communication devices.The accomplishment was made during recent clearance operations during the dry season under the direction of Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, according to the release.
In addition, four motorcycles, communication devices, cell phones, and military uniforms were found, along with an AK-47 rifle, ammo, seven Dane guns, three locally made guns, and other deadly weaponry.
He said that during a search and rescue operation in the Zamfara State villages of Dansadau and Dandalla, the nine victims were found
“The terrorists left the victims behind after engaging in a gunfight with the tenacious troops.” At Magami, the rescued victims were reunited with their relatives right away, he said.
He cited Major General Godwin Mutkut, the Commander of Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarin Daji, as praising the troops’ work and advising them to keep up the pace.
