Kankara/Faskari/Sabuwa Federal Constituency: Hon Tafoki, APC floors Jamil at Appeal Court

An appeal filed by Jamilu  Muhammed of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 National Assembly exertions in Kankara/Faskari/ Sabuwa Federal Constituency of Katsina State against the ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal which declared the  election as inconclusive has been dismissed by the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had declared Mr. Jamilu  Muhammed ( aka Lion), as winner of the election but ithe Election Petition Tribunal in Katsina declared the election  inconclusive and ordered INEC to conduct reelection in 20 poling units of Faskari and Kankara Local Councils.

In its ruling today delivered by the Presiding Judge, Justice Moore Aseimo A. Adumein, the Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal  filed by Jamilu  Muhammed  of the PDP and upheld the position of the Tribunal in declaring the election inconclusive while also surcharging Jamilu a fine of N300,000:00 to be paid to the APC Candidate in the Election, Hon Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki.

The Appeal Court further directed the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct elections in 20 polling units within 30 days from today
