By Lawal Gwanda: The ADC House of Assembly Candidate for Katsina Local Government in Katsina State Hon. Hauwa Lawal Jibrin has debunked the insinuation of dumping her Candidacy and party for PDP.
In a statement, the ADC Candidate expressed shock of the news that her party’s gubernatorial Candidate and the State House of Assembly Candidate for Saturday’s elections have dumped the party and joined the PDP.
Hon. Hauwa Lawal has categorically stated that she was not party to the unholy alliance and want her supporters and electorate to know that she is still in the race.
She pointed out that she joined politics to champion the cause of the downtrodden and will never abandon the noble cause or betray the trust of the society for any pecuniary interest.
Hon. Hauwa added that many women and youths in the state despite being industrious and talented, are worse off in meeting their daily needs due to unfavourable government policies, the trend she seeks to reverse if elected into the State House of Assembly next Saturday.
Hon. Hauwa Lawal stated that if the former state governor on the platform of PDP Alhaji Ibrahim Shenu Shema who is regarded and celebrated as the architect of modern Katsina State, can distance himself from PDP gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Governorship election, it will be an absurdity for any leaders of other political parties to team up with PDP and it’s candidate.
She however urged voters in Katsina LGA to come out en mass on Saturday and cast their votes for her candidature on the platform of ADC for people oriented representation in the House of Assembly.
Hon. Hauwa Lawal similarly said since the ADC gubernatorial candidate has abandoned his mandate to joined PDP, she studied and examined all the gubernatorial candidates and put a vote of confidence on APC gubernatorial candidate Dr. Dikko Umar Radda who according to her possess the prerequisites for good governor.
She therefore urged electorate across the state to support and vote for Dr Dikko Radda of the APC as the next Governor on Saturday.
