The former Minster of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused of voting for the People Democratic Party, PDP during the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections
The allegations against Amaechi were made by Mr. Tony Okocha, former Chief Of Staff to the Rivers State Government and member of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State.
Mr. Tony Okocha said that Ameachi has long left the All Progressive Congress until it was revealed during the presidential election when he ordered his supporters to vote for Atiku Abubakar.
Mr. Tony Okocha, made the statement during an interview with newsmen Port Harcourt, saying that the action of the former minister was an offense of anti-party activity and as a result, he is no more the state party leader. He revealed that Rotimi Ameachi ordered his supporters a day before the presidential election to vote for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
He added that he has the record that Rotimi Ameachi voted for the PDP during the election. Saying that action alone disqualified him as the leader of the party in the state.
“A day before the presidential election, he ordered his supporters to go and vote for the presidential candidate of the PDP. And himself, we’ve it on record that he voted for the candidate of the PDP, Atiku”
