Three persons in possession of N17 million cash have been arrested by the Kebbi State Police command, the state police commissioner, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, has confirmed to newsmen, Wednesday.
On January 29, 2023 at about 9:10am, police personnel attached to Warrah Police Station with the help of officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers at Warrah Motor Park, arrested three persons in possession of currency notes worth the sum of N17,000,000, reasonably suspected to be counterfeit, the police has said.
The suspects are: Faruku Zubairu, Ibrahim Musa and Salisu Mohammed, all of Gungun Tawaye and Chupamini villages, Ngaski Local Government Area.
Kontagora said investigation has been completed and the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
