Sen Bwacha wins Taraba APC gubernatorial rerun

The rerun All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial election in Taraba State was won by Emmanuel Bwacha again.

 He won the election by scoring 778 votes out of the 783 legitimate votes cast, defeating five other candidates.

The chairman of the Taraba governorship rerun primary election committee, General Yusuf Buratai (Rtd) declared Bwacha the APC’s nominee for governor.

One of the contestants, Yusuf A. Yusuf received five votes, Engineer Saleh Mamman received 9 votes, Anthony Manzo received 0, Danladi Kifasi received 0, and David Kente received 0 votes.

According to reports, there were 835 registered voters, 796 of them were accredited, 791 ballots were cast, and 783 of those votes were genuine.

The audience reportedly chanted “yes” as Buratai described the election as “free, fair, and transparent.”

Those who witnessed the rerun includede the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Taraba, Umar Gajirma, the Deputy Governor of Kogi, Edward Onoja, the former Governor, Jolly Nyame, the candidate for the House of Representatives in the Takum/Ussa/Donga Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni, the Member of the House of Representatives in the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency, Danjuma Shiddi.
