President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to be in Katsina for official visit from Thursday Jan 26 through Friday, Jan 27.
The visit is an opportunity for Governor Aminu Masari to showcase his achievements in the seven and a half yeas he spent on office despite the security challenges that have slowed the development efforts in the state.
In preparations to welcome the president, the Katsina State Government has declared Thursday and Friday work free so that citizens will give Mr President a rousing welcome.
This was contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Alh Sani Kabomo, Wednesday.
The statement clarified that Federal civil servants, bank workers and others who were on essential services were exempted from the holidays.
Part of the activities lined up for presidential visit are the commissioning of two underpath bridges at Kofar Kaura and Kofar Kaura, a flyover bridge, the massively rehabilitated Katsina General Hospital, Katsina, a multi billion naira Darma Rice m
Mill. Others are the Katsina State Water Board and the new Katsina State Revenue Headquarters along Kano Road, Katsina.
The event is an opportunity for Gov. Aminu Bello Masari to showcase some the landmark achievements in the last seven and a half years.
