By Lawal Gwanda: The Katsina State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr Dikko Umar Radda has successfully rounded up his campaign tour in 241 wards of Daura and Katsina Senatorial Zones.
Among the places visited by the candidate were the security challenging areas of Runka, Tsaskiya, Babban Duhu, Kuka samu in Safana Local Government Area, Wagini in Batsari and some parts of Jibia, Kurfi, and Danmusa, Local Government Areas.
Dr Radda has shown courage, determination to cross the areas where most people, especially the opposition, thought he could not go.
While noting that the fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility, he also assured to use every means possible and the state resources to bring to an end the menace of banditry and insecurity bedeviling some parts of the state.
“For any leader to fight insecurity, he must be determined to take the fight to the bandits and be in the forefront of the battle line.”
Dr Radda showcased his manifesto and plan for the state, which include improving the agricultural sector, public sector reforms and boost small scale businesses as a means to provide job opportunities to the teeming youths in the state.
During the tour the APC Gubernatorial Candidate paid homage to all the traditional rulers including district and ward heads as well as other relevant stakeholders to seek royal blessings and solicit for their support.
In all the places visited, Dr. Dikko Radda expressed delight, gratitude and at a point shed tears of joy on seeing the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. A mammoth crowd amidst singing and dancing chanting “sai Dikko, Sai Gwagware, Sai Ka yi” trooped out to receive him.
The APC Gubernatorial Candidate thanked Almighty God for his guidance, strength, courage and wisdom to tour all the wards of the two Senatorial zones which, according to him, will give him the opportunity to have first hand information and bearing on how to govern the state if elected.
Dr Radda also thanked all that accompanied him during the tour and gave support in cash or in kind to make the campaign tour a success.
At most of the places visited, the people of the area explained that no Gubernatorial candidate had ever visited them seeking for their support.
In some of the places visited, the traditional rulers and other stakeholders presented gifts including horses, camels, cows, Holly Qur’an, sword among other surveniers to the Gubernatorial Candidate in appreciation of his visit and to show support and solidarity.
The campaign style and the turn out of supporters and well wishers clearly indicated that the APC in Katsina State will be become victorious in the upcoming general election.
Dr Radda was accompanied during the tour which lasted for 12 days in Daura Zone and 11 in Katsina Central by his Deputy Faruk Lawal Jobe, DG Campaign Arc Ahmed Dangiwa, APC State Chairman, members of the state executive council and Assembly, Senatorial, House Reps and State House of Assembly Candidates, friends, families and well wishers from withing and outside the state.
Now the campaign train has taken a break for 9 days before it resumes in Funtua Senatorial zone on 15 of January 2023.
