Nigeria needs leaders that will groom Nigerian youths to be responsible future leaders. This is the observation of His Royal Highness,  Amb  Ahmad Bamalli, when he some royal touch to the occasion.

Women have, therefore,  been urged to develop the will and capacity to aspire for better opportunities in the scheme of things generally in Nigeria and the world over.

This was the observation of most speakers at a maiden conference tagged “Women Conference 2022″  organised by Women Models and Mentors Foundation,”  Wednesday at Hamdala Hotel Kaduna. The theme of the conference was “The Right to Participate” which was basically referring to the right of women to participate in all activities that drive the society to progress and development.

Women Models & Mentors Foundation is a non Governmental Organisation for women of all ages, races, classes creeds and professions with the primary objective of uplifting women in various positive spheres of life. it serves as a breeding ground for character modification and shaping the minds of young girls and women.

Most speakers at the conference highlighted the need for women to brace up and address the challenges militating against their progress and development by exploring the windows of opportunities available to them in the areas of politics and other. economic activities.

Some of the noticeable challenges women face are cultural as women are required to keep up the home front while men remain the bread winners. Most legal frameworks in Nigeria aren’t barriers to women progress and development as they provide equal opportunities without gender disparities.

One of the ways out is by educating women in various aspects of life and sensitising them on available windows of opportunities they can grab.

Women must also learn to value themselves through self discipline and endevour to work hard in the ever increasing competitive and changing environment we find ourselves today.

Women should also learn to communicate effectively to drive in their demands through dignity and respect while standing firm on their rights. This is done through proper dressing as you are always addressed the way you dress.Women should have to inculcate the culture of politeness whenever driving a point and should be courteous in dealing with whoever they come across. When infraction is observed, it costs nothing to say “sorry, please.”Women should develop the desire to be mentored by those that excel in the field of their desire.Prominent women graced the occasion to showcase that women have the potentials to change the gender narratives in the drive to bring positive changes in the ever changing society. They include Hajiya Hauwa Kida, Mother of the Day, Hajiya Bilkisu Abba Ibrahim, President, Women Models and Mentors; Prof Ladi Hamalai, Prof. Sandra Ladi Adamu,  Amb Fati Eunice Ibrahim, Prof Hauwau Evelyn Yusuf, Dr Bilkisu Mojammed Magoro.
