In Katsina: Bulletproof charms sell for N60, 000.00

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 53-year-old man who produces bulletproof charms for bandits and criminals who make life miserable for sometime in Katsina State and its neibhours.

The police spokesperson in the state Gambo Isah, told journalist, Tuesday that the suspect resides at Maiduguri Road in Sabuwa LGA of the state. The suspect was arrested on November 26 following a tipoff, Isah has said.

He said the suspect produced and sold the bulletproof charms to bandits and other criminals in Katsina, Kaduna and Zamfara states for N60,000 per piece.

Isah added that the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation.

He said the police recovered four bulletproof charms enveloped in jackets and a talisman from the suspect.

The police spokesman said the suspect confessed that he regularly offered prayers for bandits not to get arrested or harmed by security agents during their operations.

The suspect would be arraigned after the completion of the investigation, Gambo Isah has said.
