Jigawa oil search begins during Tinubu administration

The exploration of crude oil in Jigawa State, Northwest Nigeria would commence during the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has stated this on Wednesday evening while addressing the All Progressives Congress supporters after presenting flags to the party’s candidates in Jigawa North West.

Governor Badaru was commenting in relation to the exploration of oil in between Bauchi and Gombe States, Tuesday.

The Kolmani River Oil and Gas Fieldhas over one billion barrels of crude oil reserves and 500 billion standard cubic feet of gas

Gov Badaru said Jigawa State is also blessed with an abundance of oil which would be explored during the Tinubu administration.

“By the grace of God, Jigawa oil will also be explored during the tenure of Tinubu for the benefit of the country and the State,” he said

Recall that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a speech at the flag off of the drilling activities at Kolmani oil field on Tuesday, pledged to continue oil search in the North and other potential areas in Nigeria to take the advantages of the numerous Nigeria is endowed with.
