The Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt had nullified all the primaries conducted by APC for 2023 polls in Rivers State,Tuesday.
Some aggrieved APC members approached the court challenging the conduct of primary elections claiming exclusion from delegates that conducted the party primaries in the State.The aggrieved members are being alleged to be loyalist of Senator Magnus Abe, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Rivers State.
Sen Abe has been at loggerheads with Chief Rotimi Amaechi. This development will truncate Amaechi”s effort in making a relaunch in Rivers politics.
Rivers State has now become one of the most unpredictable states as Nigeria is inching towards the 2023 general elections.
Political observers and commentators are begining to ask whether Sen. Abe, and Gov Wike are sending Amaechi on political leave or retirement.
