Katsina Govt embarks on staff audit

Katsina State Government has set up  Committee to Conduct a Comprehensive Manpower Audit in the State Civil Service

The State Head of Civil Service Alh Usman Isyaku disclosed this during the formal inauguration of the Committee at the conference hall, office of the Head of Service

Inaugurating the Members of the Committee, the State Head of Service Alh Usman Isyaku recalled that the State Governor Mal Dikko Umar Radda during his inaugural speech had promised to conduct Staff Audit to eliminate ghost workers in the State and to upscale the public sector to work efficiently

The Committee Comprises of retired seasoned Administrators, Auditor general of the State and representatives from various MDA’s

Alh Usman Isyaku noted that the committee is set up to sanitize State Payroll and to eradicate redundancy, assured workers and indeed the Organised Labour that no genuine worker will loose his or her Job rather the verification exercise is meant to determine the training needed from each cadre with the view to improve their capacity

The Committee has the following:-

1:- Alh Rabiu Abdu Ruma as Chairman

2:- Director Human Resources office of the Head of Service as Secretary

3:- Alh Usman Musa, Alh Usman Bala Daudawa, Sa’idu Danja and representatives from Ministries of Information, Justice, Department of Establishment & Training as well as State NLC Chairman and that of TUC will serve as Members of the Committee

The committee is expected to submit its report within Four Weeks from the date of inauguration.
