The Tinubu/Dikko campaign train will storm Kafir Local Government Area Tuesday ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The team, lead by Dikko Umaru Radda, the Governor of Katsina State is expected to visit the palace of Dangadiman Katsina, District head of Kafur and the palace of Danejin Katsina, District head of Mahuta
Kafur Local Government has some peculiar antecedents in the Katsina State political developments. It is home to some political big shots such as the former Governor Aminu Bello Masari who was the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Bature Umar Masari, former Council chairman, Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN and former Chief of Staff to Governir Aminu Bello Masari and current Director in charge of Tinubu/Dikko campaign in Funtua Senatorial Zone.
There is also Alhaji Bello Kagara, former commissioner for budget and current commissioner for finance. Kagara is one the longest serving politicians in Kafur Local government being on the ground for about 35 years. His political sagacity is unparalleled as he has maintained a strong grip on political machinations due to his will and capacity in grassroot mobilisation. He was a Council secretary and supervisory councillor. He rose to the position director, served in different departments at the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC.
There is also Hon Kabir Ibrahim Masari, the Special Advisor to President Bola Tinubu on political matters.
Kafur Local Government has recorded a notoriety in churning out substantial votes during elections for the last 35 years, sometimes turning out largest votes and sometimes second to Katsina Local Government Area.
The significance of the local government in votes during elections is reasonable enough for the Tinubu/Dikko campaign team to take it serious.
