By Lawal Gwanda, Katsina: The importance of reviving Community Development initiative across local government areas of Katsina State has been emphasised.
The remarks were made by the Special Adviser on LOCAL Government Inspector Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana when officials of Local Government Education and Social Development Directors Forum paid him an advocacy visit in his office.
Hon. Lawal Safana pledged that the Inspectorate Department will initiate the procurement of assorted Community Develooment implements for distribution to LGAs, but must be under the custody of the Education and Special Develooment Departments.
The Special Adviser however shed more light on vital issues brought up by the Forum during the visit particularly COHENSS and Community Development.
He charged officials and other members of the Forum to always update themselves on their official duties and promote synergy with executives and other relevant officers of their respective LGAs.
While pledging to assiduously work hand in hand with the Forum, Hon. Lawal Rufa’i therefore charged them to imbibe objectivity in the course of their duties.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Forum who is also the Director ESD Kankia LGA Alhaji Garba Sani Mawashi
registered concern on some critical issues regarding COHENSS and other Social Services.
Other officials used the opportunities to collectively table some vital issues related to ESD Departments that need to be addressed.
