The timetable and schedule for the 2027 general elections has been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This was revealed on Friday by INEC chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan while speaking at a press conference in Abuja, dismissing earlier reports claiming that the electoral body had already released the election timetable.
Amupitan explained that the announcement was made in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act, 2022 (as amended).
He disclosed that the presidential election will be held on February 20, 2027, while the governorship, senatorial, and other elections are scheduled for March 6, 2027.
