Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua has supported APC candidates in the forthcoming local government elections in Katsina State with N50.5M to run the 2025 Local Government campaigns and elections.
The support was targeted at the 11 Local Government Areas of Katsina Central Senatorial District which consists of Katsina, Batagarawa, Charanchi, Rimi, Kaita, Jibia, Kurfi Dutsinma, Batsari, Safana and Danmusa.
While releasing the support funds to the beneficiaries on behalf of Senator Yar’adua, the APC Zonal Chairman for Katsina Zone Alhaji Yahaya Asasanta disclosed that each LGA is supported with about N4M out of which each candidate contesting for the Chairmanship seat received N1M, Vice Chairmen N300,000 each.
There are 115 Councillorship candidates in the Senatorial District who collectively received N23M support.
APC Stakeholders in the Senatorial District were supported with N10M, whereas his Coordinators across the 11 LGAs were supported with logistics.
The Senator charged them to ensure hitch-free campaigns in conformity with the norms and values of the APC.
He enjoined the candidates to make emphasis in strengthening democratic ideals through free and fair elections in the district and the state at large.
While congratulating the candidates for clinching the APC flag, the Senator assured his constituents of his zeal towards good representation and will continue to be loyal to the APC.
In response to the gesture, the APC Chairmanship Candidate of Danmusa LGA Alhaji Ibrahim Maidabino (Namama) on behalf of other beneficiaries thanked the Senator for the support which according to him was not the first.
Alhaji Ibrahim Namama assured him of their vigor toward conducting a hitch free campaigns to ensure free and fair elections.
