Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’afua of Katsina Central has assisted over 100 victims of Baure banditry attack in Batsari/Safana LGAs with N50,000 each and N300,000 to Vigilante Group for the procurement of working equipment.
The victims most of whiom were civilians and members of Vigilante group were from Batsari LGA considering Baure Village in Safana is bordering with Batsari LGA..
The Senator alongside Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon. Abduljalal Runka (A J) and Chairman Safana LGA Hon. Abdullahi Sani visited Batsari to jointly condole and commiserate with Vigilante Group and people of Safana and Batsari LGA on the recent banditry attack in Baure Village which claimed multiple lives.
Having observed.the absence of synergy with Vigilante Groups with the Security Agencies across the two respective areas, the Senator urged the Vigilante Groups to be determined and courageous as he had been up and down discussing with the President on how the synergy between the Vigilante Groups and Security Agencies will be strengthen.

Senator Yar’adua said the Security Sector budgetary allocations for this year has been doubled compared to last year’s allocation, which according to him indicated the readiness of the President on combating insecurity across the country.
While praying for the repose of the sole of the deceased and quick recovery for the injured, the Senator commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his vigorous efforts toward fighting insecurity across the state.
On his part, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon. Abduljalal Runka (A J) emphasised the the efforts being made by the state government to organise special training for the Vigilante and assured that the synergy will be strengthen.
He also commended the Senator for showing much concern on security aspects considering his contributions towards fighting insecurity which is unprecedented.
Earlier, the Commandant of the Vigilante Groups applauded the contributions being given by the Senator, the state government, Divisional Police Officers of Safana and Batsari in fighting the scourge of insecurity in the state.
He also lamented the absence of synergy between his groups and the Security Agencies in the two respective LGAs.
Other notable persons that spoke at the occasion include Chairman Safana LGA Hon. Abdullahi Sani, Vice Chairman Batsari LGA and APC Chairman Batsari LGA.
In another development, Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua has visited Charanchi where he condole the families of Alhaji Bala Amadu of Walawa Quarters who died recently and Alhaji Isma’ila Gambo for his father’s death Alhaji Gambo AGTC of Fulani Quarters all in Charanchi Town.
Those that accompanied the Senator include State Commandant KASAROTA Major Yahaya Rimi, Alhaji Umar Farouk A K, Alhaji Abun Musa Yar’adua among others.
