Tinubu connects Nigerians With Roads

Minister of State For Works,  Hon Muhammed Bello Goronyo has said President Bola Ahmed’s intention is to connect Nigerians with road under his Renowned Hope Agenda.

Goronyo stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

He cited examples of  Sokoto- Badagry coastal highway,  Sokoto-Funtua-Zaria dualization highway and other roads in the eastern and southern parts of the country which were all awarded by President Tinubu’s administration.

He told the governor that he was in Kebbi State to monitor and inspect some federal roads which were renovated and rehabilitated by the federal government through federal Ministry of Worka or Federal Emergency Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

 He said  the ongoing construction of Sokoto- Badagry coastal highway is a testimony to President Tinubu’s Intention to Connect Northern with Southern parts of the country

“Your Excellency even today before I come for this courtesy call I stopped over at Alwasa village under Birnin Kebbi local government where I commissioned an emergency repaired road of Birnin Kebbi- Argungu- Sokoto States border road which was repaired by FERMA.”  The Minister said.

 Roads maintenance,  clearing of drainages,  work plans for projects and creaton of roads maintenance agency are lots of things to collaborate together and drive some of the programmes to achieve the desired objectives in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ”  Goronyo added.

Responding,  Governor,  Nasir Idris thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Kebbi State fit to benefit from the construction of the Sokoto- Badagry Highway from illela in Sokoto and Gulumbe part of Kebbi State down to Badagry in Lagos State which will transform economic ties between the benefited States.

Giv Idris however acknowledged the rehabilitation and renovation being carried out by FERMA on federal roads in Kebbi State.

       The governor had rated FERMA as the best performing agency in the federal government’s parastatals.
