A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial aspirant in 2023 elections in Kaduna State, Hon Usman Ibrahim has dump the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Hon Ibrahim, Sardaunan Badarawa contested on the platform of the PDP for Kaduna Central Senatorial seat, announced his resignation in a letter dated December 13 and addressed to his Badarawa Malali ward chairman.
He said, “This decision is coming after due consultations with stakeholders and my supporters across the entire seven LGAs of Kaduna Central District, Kaduna State, and Nigeria before exiting PDP for APC in our determination for the growth and development of my constituency, Kaduna Central, and by extension, the entire state.”
The chieftain stated that he was encouraged by political allies in the National Assembly and the federal cabinet to bring forth his wealth of experience and ability in grassroots mobilization into the APC.
According to him, the most deserving thing to do in the interest of Kaduna State was to join hands with the state governor, Uba Sani.
