The All Progressives Congress, APC has officially presented Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District with the party’s flag as its flag-bearer for the 2027 Senatorial Elections.
The presentation was made alongside other APC candidates by the State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, assisted by the Director General of the Tinubu/Dikko Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
The event took place during the flag-off of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda’s 2027 Campaign Rally held on Tuesday, 28th October, 2026 at the Funtua Township Stadium, Funtua.

In an interview shortly after receiving the flag, Senator Yar’adua said “I am deeply grateful to our great party, the APC, and to the people of Katsina Central for this trust. This flag is not for me alone, it is for all of us. By God’s grace, we will justify this confidence in 2027 with more development and better representation if reelected.”
Political analysts described the presentation of flags to Senator Yar’adua and other candidates as a vote of confidence by the APC in their ability to provide effective representation and ensure victory for the party in 2027.
The ceremony also marked the formal commencement of the APC’s campaign activities in the state. Commentators described the flag-off as a bold step in preparation for the forthcoming elections, noting that it was conducted peacefully, successfully and with great enthusiasm.
They further noted that the massive turnout of party supporters at the event demonstrated the strength, popularity and grassroots acceptance of the APC, Governor Radda, and all the party’s candidates in the state.

With this flag, Senator Yar’adua is now set to seek a second term in the Senate from 2027, a mandate many believe he has prepared for through his commitment to the development of Katsina Central.
