The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has directed that all Local Government Area (LGA) media aides and 25 media assistants be included in the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, disclosed this today while receiving members of the “No Vacancy Movement” led by its initiator, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, during a courtesy visit to present the movement’s conceptual framework, aims and objectives.

Hon. Nasir commended the initiative and praised Governor Radda for the strategic decision to ensure the inclusion of the media aides and assistants, whose members had previously played key roles in the Media Directorate.

He expressed confidence in their experience, capacity and commitment, urging them to remain united, focused and dedicated to promoting the administration’s achievements and strengthening support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Let me assure you of something important: Governor Radda has directed that nobody should be left out of the campaign council. You are to be part of the council, and you do not need to wait for your names to appear on any list before recognising your responsibilities,” he said.

The Chief of Staff explained that the campaign council would be inaugurated in phases across the state, with structures established in all 34 local government areas and 361 electoral wards to ensure effective grassroots participation.

He emphasised that the campaign would adopt a bottom-up approach, giving prominence to contributions at the ward and community levels rather than relying solely on political activities coordinated from major cities or outside the state.

“This campaign is different from previous campaigns. We are all returning to our respective wards because this is a grassroots-driven movement. Nobody is more important than the contributions they make to their communities,” he stated.

Hon. Nasir further assured members of the movement of their involvement in the campaign process, stressing that their experience in media communication and mobilisation would remain valuable to the council’s activities.

He cautioned them against distractions arising from social media commentaries, urging them to remain focused and communicate credible information about the administration’s achievements.

He also encouraged them to deploy their knowledge, strategic thinking and grassroots connections to counter misinformation and present factual accounts of government policies, programmes and development initiatives.

The Chief of Staff endorsed the No Vacancy Movement and pledged his full support for its activities, urging members to remain committed to grassroots mobilisation and promoting the achievements of the Radda administration.

Earlier, the initiator of the No Vacancy Movement, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, explained that the initiative was established as a grassroots mobilisation and rapid-response platform to promote continuity and communicate the achievements of the Radda administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We established this movement to respond to claims that the government has done nothing for the people of Katsina State by presenting verified facts, documented projects and official information,” he said.

Kaula explained that the movement would focus on communicating the administration’s interventions in security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth development and women’s empowerment.

“Our objective is to ensure that residents across Katsina State are adequately informed about government policies, programmes and development achievements,” he added.

He disclosed that the movement planned to establish structures across all 34 local government areas and 361 wards through community visits, stakeholder meetings, public sensitisation, media engagement and digital communication.

He said the movement’s guiding message, “There Is No Vacancy. Stand With Radda,” reflected its position on continuity and its intention to mobilise grassroots support for Governor Radda and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to promote public awareness of the Federal Government’s policies and programmes and strengthen grassroots engagement in support of the Tinubu-Dikko political partnership.

Those in attendance included the movement’s Secretary, Abba Muazu Yantumaki; Coordinator, Bashir Ya’u; Public Relations Officer, Aminu Habibu Dutsinma; and other members of the movement.
