Saudi Arabia has so far launched nearly a thousand missiles and air strikes towards Yemen since the escalations earlier this month.
Reports claim that Yemeni government forces found several casualties as they made their advances into the newly recaptured areas.
In Thai, they found the bodies of more than 800 Houthi fighters scattered across mountains and valleys. Those troops were apparently killed in air strikes or shelling by Saudi backed Yemeni armed forces.
This week the Yemeni armed forces handed over the bodies of Houthi fighters to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
This as fighting has intensified across several districts of Thai province since early this month when the Houthis launched their largest military offensive resulting in the capture of large swades of Yemen’s western coast including Mocha and Babal Mandep strait.
A Houthi military adviser has asserted that the group will attack US interests in West Asia if the US intervenes in the Yemeni conflict in any capacity.
Houthis will prepare a response if Washington steps up to either support its ally Saudi Arabia or secure the Babal Mandep strait which is a strategic global oil trade choke point.
