The Kajuru community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State are appealing to Governor Uba Sani to construct a road linking Maraban Kajuru, Kajuru Town, Buda, and Maraban Rido.
The appeal by the community came through a prominent community leader and traditional titleholder, Hon. Ahmad Rufai Abdulmumini (Walin Kajuru) through his Special Assistant, Aminu Iliyasu.
This proposed road infrastructure will serve as a game-changer for the entire Kajuru Local Government Area, opening up access to previously underserved communities and creating a direct link between rural communities and improved social, economic and political activities in the area.
Hon. Rufai expressed high confidence in the Governor’s commitment to inclusive development, pointing to ongoing projects across the state as evidence of a responsive and people-focused administration.
He noted that Kajuru LGA, despite its agricultural potential and strategic location, has long been overlooked in terms of modern road networks.
“This new road is not a luxury it is a necessity,” Hon. Rufai stated. It will enable our farmers to transport cash crops and food produce to urban markets with ease, reduce transportation costs, and attract investors to our local government. More importantly, it will enhance security by providing access routes for security agencies to patrol remote communities and respond swiftly to emergencies.”
The Walin Kajuru also praised Governor Uba Sani for his listening ear and track record of delivering people-oriented projects, stressing that the people of Kajuru LGA remain steadfast in their support for the administration.
“Governor Uba Sani has proven time and again that he is a leader who hears the cries of his people. We trust that he will give this request the urgent attention it deserves,” the statement added.
As Kaduna State continues to witness rapid infrastructural transformation, the Kajuru community is hopeful that this new road project will be included in the next phase of government interventions bridging the gap between rural agrarian communities and the state’s broader development agenda.
