Kanwan Katsina salutes new District Heads

The appointment and turbanning the three District heads by the Katsina Emirates have been  described as well-deserved and meritorious, urging them to fully commit themselves to the development of their respective districts and the advancement of the emirate.

The Kanwa Katsina, Districthead of Ƙetare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, mni, has extended warm congratulations to the three newly turbaned District Heads in the Katsina Emirate.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara gave the congratulatory message while answering questions from journalists shortly after the turbaning ceremony held at the Emir’s Palace, Kofar Soro, Katsina.

The newly turbaned District Heads are Alhaji Ahmed Abdulmumini Kabir Usman as Dan Majen Katsina and District Head of Dankama, Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Radda as Gwagwaren Katsina and District Head of Radda, and Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu, mni, as Sarkin Mudurun Katsina and District Head of Muduru.

The Kanwan Katsina described the new Sarkin Muduru as a seasoned technocrat who served in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 35 years before his retirement. He also attended the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, where he earned the title of Member of the National Institute (mni).

He further explained that the Dan Majen Katsina and District Head of Dankama is the son of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, CFR, and currently serves with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kaduna Branch, while the new Gwagwaren Katsina and District Head of Radda is the son of the Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.

Distinguished personalities who attended the turbaning ceremony included the Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda; the Governor of Kano State, Malam Abba Kabir Yusuf; the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, Sarkin Fulanin Joben Katsina; the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; as well as several traditional title holders from Katsina and Daura Emirates.

Others who attended the event included members of Course 41, colleagues of the District Head of Muduru at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, and other Members of the National Institute (mni) from across the country.

Kanwan Katsina district head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni was a member of course 35 at the National institute of Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS kuru, Jos, and is delighted to have a fellow mni Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu mni as District Head of Muduru in Katsina Emirate.

The Kanwan Katsina also commended the Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, and the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, CFR, for the establishment of six new districts in Katsina emirate describing the move as a significant step toward strengthening traditional institutions and enhancing grassroots administration.
