The Katsina State Government is set to commission a series of major infrastructure and education projects executed under the administration of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.

Briefing journalists on the programme of events scheduled for May 1, 2, and 6, 2026, the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, reveals that prominent Nigerian governors will lead the commissioning of key projects across the state.

Dr. Zango disclosed that on Friday, May 1, 2026, two major road projects will be inaugurated by distinguished guests.

According to him, the first project—the newly constructed and upgraded Ingawa–Shargalle Road—will be commissioned by the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, at 12:00 noon in Ingawa town.

He further stated that the second project, the dualised Yandaki–Shinkafi to Kofar Sauri Junction Road, will be commissioned later in the day by the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency Ahmad Aliyu, at about 5:00 p.m.

“We will commence from Ingawa after the first commissioning and proceed through the Shargalle axis via Yandaki to Shinkafi, where the second commissioning will take place,” Dr. Zango explained.

He also revealed that on May 6, 2026, the state will unveil a multi-billion-naira Smart School project located in Radda town, describing it as a landmark investment in educational transformation and human capital development.

“The Smart School will be commissioned by the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq,” he concluded.
