ADC suspends Atiku, others

The former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and chieftain of the Africa Democratic Congress, ADC has been suspended by a faction of the party in Adamawa State.

This was announced by  Raji Sulaiman Zumo,

Chairman of the ADC faction in the state on Monday.

Also suspended is the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal.

Recall that a faction of the ADC led by Nafiu Bala Gombe is laying claim to the position of national chairman of the party.

The development prompted the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to derecognize the leadership of the ADC under former Senate President David Mark
