The death of Hajiya Maimuna Umar, the mother of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi 11 was announced. PiShe died at the aged of 95.

This is contained in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, on Monday in Kano.Gov Yusuf described the deceased as a symbol of humility and Islamic values.
He said her death was also a great loss not only to the Kano Emirate but to Kano State as a whole, noting that the deceased lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation; a life marked by humility, wisdom, and dedication to Islamic values.
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir, the entire royal family, and the people of Kano Emirate over what he called “the irreparable loss.”
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
