Kaduna Poultry Project Creates 186,000 jobs

The Kaduna State poultry project is expected to create over 150,000 indirect jobs and 350 direct jobs in Kaduna State.

This was revealed by Kaduna State Governor, Mal Uba Sani, Thursday during an fitar with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, Kaduna council, saying Kaduna State will be the first state in Nigeria to host the $200 million Nigeria-China poultry project, which is expected to be the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa. He disclosed that the groundbreaking ceremony will take place within the next two months.

Gov Uba Sani emphasized that the project will not only provide employment opportunities but also support about 10,000 small businesses across the state, describing it as a game-changing initiative that will boost food production, empower local entrepreneurs, and strengthen Kaduna’s economy.

Governor Sani stressed that his administration is committed to creating sustainable opportunities that will reduce unemployment and position Kaduna as a leading hub for agribusiness in Nigeria.

He highlighted that his administration is committed  to repositioning Kaduna State to become the leading light in provision of infrastructure to attract meaningful and sustained development in agriculture, education, health and the security of lives, livelihoods across the state.

Responding to concerns of the NUJ over lack of a functional bus for its logistics, Gov Uba Sani offered it a new bus.
