The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda has refuted reports suggesting his daughter, Amina Dikko Radda is contesting for a senatorial position in Katsina State.
A statement signed and issued by the Media Directorate, Katsina Government House on 28 December, 2025, said ‘the attention of the Katsina State Government has been drawn to a fake social media account created in the name of “Amina Dikko Radda” falsely claiming that she is contesting
‘For the avoidance of doubt, the Government wishes to state clearly that the account is fake and does not belong to the daughter of His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda. None of Governor Radda’s daughters is contesting for any elective position.
‘The person being impersonated, Amina Dikko Radda, does not operate any Facebook account or any other social media account. Members of the public are therefore strongly advised not to interact with the page or be misled by its posts.
‘The Katsina State Government, in collaboration with security and cybercrime agencies, is working round the clock to ensure the fake account is taken down and those responsible are tracked and prosecuted according to the law.
‘The public is urged to rely only on verified Government House communication channels and credible media platforms for authentic information regarding the Governor and his family.
‘The Government appreciates the vigilance of well-meaning citizens who reported this impersonation attempt and encourages continued reporting of similar suspicious accounts, the statement finally said.
