The Kaduna State House of Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, following its consideration and adoption at the plenary session.
The session was presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, who announced the passage after the lawmakers unanimously adopted the report of the House Committee on Appropriations and Implementation
Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Shehu Pambegwa presented the repor of the Appropriation for the State’s 2026 fiscal year on the floor of the House
The approved budget stands at ₦985,915,136,574.60 (Nine Hundred and Eighty-Five Billion, Nine Hundred and Fifteen Million, One Hundred and Thirty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred and Seventy-Four Naira, Sixty Kobo)
According to the Speaker, the 2026 budget is aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, inclusive governance, and improved service delivery across all sectors of the State
He further urged the people of Kaduna State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Uba Sani when the implementation of the 2026 budget begins
The Speaker reaffirmed the resolve of the Kaduna State House of Assembly to continue working towards the unity, progress, and prosperity of the state for the benefit of present and future generations
Recall that the tate governor, Sen Uba Sani had on Monday 1st December 2025 presented the proposed N985.9 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Kaduna State House of Assembly
