Kaduna state has recorded zero violence since 2923 zero violent conflict since 2023 has reinforced development gains across Education, Agriculture, skills acquisition and Enterprise growth.
This was disclosed by Kaduna State Governor, Sen Uba Sani, Saturday during the Kaduna Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ while celebrating its 2025 Press Week in Kaduna.
Gov Uba Sani said the administration has deliberately positioned peace as a development strategy, recognizing that stability is essential for social progress and economic growth, saying peace is the foundation of development and by prioritizing prevention, dialogue and community ownership, Kaduna has created the enabling environment for sustainable growth.
He noted that the improved security has allowed the reopening of schools,. health facilities, markets and farmland across the state. He cited the return of over 300.000 out of school children to classrooms, a 40 percent reduction in tuition fees in state owned tertiary institutions and the expansion of technical, vocational and digital skills programmed for youths as key gains of the Kaduna peace model.
He also described the media as a strategic partner in the peace and development architecture, urging Journalists to embrace conflict sensitive reporting, counter misinformation and amplify stories of reconciliation progress and opportunity
The achievement reflects the effectiveness of the Kaduna State peace model, a home grown framework that integrates dialogue, community engagement, early warning systems and intelligence led security with inclusive governance.
Governor Uba Sani was represented by the Commissioner for information, Mallam Ahmed Maiyaki at the occasion.

Earlier, the Chairman of Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State Council, Comrade Abdul Gafar Alabelewe said the council commended Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to peace building, inclusive governance and press freedom.
Kaduna State reaffirmed its readiness to share the Kaduna State peace driven development framework with other states, describing the peace model as a practical blueprint for strengthening stability and accelerating development across Northern Nigeria.
In his remark the senatorial aspirant of Kaduna central under the All progressive Congress (APC) Ambassador Shattima Yarima described the media as a critical pillar that sustains democracy and promotes good governance in the Nation.
He commended journalists in Kaduna State for their dedication, courage and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, often under challenging conditions.
According to him, the Award is not only a personal honour but a call to deepen his commitment to supporting press freedom, ethnical journalism and the welfare of media practitioners. pledging to continue engaging with the media constructively, stressing that strong partnership between leaders and the press is essential for peace, development and democratic growth.
