A notable Woman Political Leader in Katsina State, Hajia Zulai Uwar Matasa alongside women supporters thronged the Campaign Office of Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central on a solidarity visit Tuesday.
The Political bigwig under her Foundation ‘Hajia Zulai Uwar Matasa Foundation’ recalled when former President late Umaru Musa Yar’adua was the Governor of Katsina State mentored and accommodated her in his political activities..
She acknowledged his philanthropy and good governance and now his brother AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua as a Senator representing Katsina Central who followed his footsteps, vowed to go along with his political struggle.
Hajia Zulai squally acknowledged the concern shown by Senator Yar’adua particularly on the insurgency bedeviling his Constituency comprising 11 LGAs and his struggle to cubbing the situation.
Uwar Matasa said she had been in politics for over two decades, but was sidelined alongside other members of the Foundation by politicians of now a days.
She said havi
ng considered by the Governor Malam Dikko Radda and Senator Yar’adua as well as other notable politicians in the state and at the national level motivated her to resurface with a new political will to ensure right leaders were voted into power In Sha Allah in the 2027 general elections.
She therefore urged elected leaders to consider the plight of the downtrodden particularly women to benefit from democratic dividends.
Responding on.behalf of the Senator, the Secretary Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua Campaign Office Alhaji Abu Bala Saulawa spoke extensively on the contributions of the Senator in the areas of security, health, education, provision of portable water amongst others.
The Campaign Office according to Abu Bala will forward the Foundation’s requests and reservations to the State Governor and the Senator as well as other elected leaders for prompt actions.
He commended the efforts of Uwar Matasa for organising such women of good caliber to visit the office despite the absence of the Senator and enjoined her to continue with the struggle for the betterment of Katsina Central and the state at large.
The Foundation encompasses women with special disabilities, indigenous people living in the state and other women with different skills among others.
