NUJ NEC passed vote of confidence, during a virtual NEC meeting on November 10, 2024, and praised the committee’s commitment to due process and strict adherence to the NUJ Constitution, ensuring a fair election process.
In a communique signed by Abubakar Musa Waziri, Princess Ronke Samo, and Mary Domtur, the NEC ratified final delegate lists for the upcoming Triennial Delegate Conference in Owerri, Imo State, set for November 26-28.
NEC also set November 16 as the election date for Benue Council to resolve long-standing crises there.
The NUJ NEC also addressed economic concerns, urging the Federal Government to take bold action against rising inflation and to ensure timely salaries for federal workers, citing recent payment delays.
