The Northern Nigeria Development Company,NNDC has been described as one of Nigeria’s premier conglomerates with an illustrious legacy of fostering development across the northern region.
The assertion was made by Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State while congratulating the new chairman of the company, Alhaji Lamis Dikko in a statement signed and issued by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.
The statement further said the company’s historic role in driving economic growth and regional development makes this appointment particularly significant.
The appointment of Alhaji Lamid Dikko, the Ajiyan Katsina is well well-deserved and Gov Radda expressed confidence in Malam Lamis Dikko’s capacity to steer NNDC toward greater heights, citing his distinguished background as a First Class graduate of Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London, seasoned banker, and his extensive experience in board-level governance across both private and public sectors.
“Malam Lamis Dikko’s appointment represents a strategic choice that aligns perfectly with NNDC’s mission of advancing northern Nigeria’s economic interests,” the Governor stated.

“As a Harvard trained figure, his proven track record in banking and corporate governance positions him ideally to lead this vital institution.
We are confident that under his chairmanship, NNDC will continue to strengthen its role as a catalyst for northern Nigeria’s development,” Governor Radda added.
The Governor emphasizes that this appointment not only honours Malam Dikko’s professional accomplishments but also reflects positively on Katsina State’s pool of capable leaders in the national development landscape
