The Gwandu Emirate Juma’at Mosque will be handed to the Government of Kebbi State on Friday after months of renovation works, the Managing Director of M-TECH Universal Concepts, an indigenous Construction Company based in Kebbi State, Engineer Manir Musa Jega has said.
He disclosed this to journalists yesterday during an interview after he inspected the final finishing touches of the renovation work inside the mosque at the Abdullahi Fodio Palace in Birnin Kebbi .
” Today i feel comfortable and becomes a happiest man for having completed this gigantic renovation contract which earlier gave me headache but, today God in His power have finished and handing over it to the owner” said engineer Jega.
” I therefore most sincerely thanked Almighty Allah SWT for this great opportunity to me and to also thank the former governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, his former Adviser on Power and Political, Yusuf Haruna Rasheed and indeed most sincerely the present governor of the state, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu as well as the Emir of Gwandu, Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar for the award of renovation work to my construction firm, M-TECH Universal Concepts.” Engineer Jega added.
He further revealed that he encountered so many huddles in order to meet- up with demand of his test towards the kind of design wished for the entire renovation but, had achieved the target.
According to him, today, Friday Oct 14 his company will handed over the mosque to government of Kebbi State and the Gwandu emirate for the immediate commencement of five daily prayers starting with Juma’at prayer today.
He called on Gwandu emirate council to Constitutes a committee members who are to keep the safety of the mosque.
Recalled that the renovation of the mosque was awarded by former governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu towards the end of his Second tenure and abandoned but, the present administration of Governor Nasir Idris has reawarded the renovation work to M- TECH company and finished it within 14 months as against the earlier 18 months.
