The flood victims in Borno State, especially Maiduguri have been supported with N1.5 billion by Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata who disclosed the donation when he was received by Governor Babagana Zulum at Government House, Maiduguri.
Dantata said “I am extending my deep condolences to the government and people of the state and those who lost their families’ beloved in the flood.”
“I pray for the peace in Borno State and Nigeria.”
Responding, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the businessman for his visit and his concern.
“The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me say it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims. May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba,” Zulum said.
The 96 year old businessman is the patriarch of the Dantata family and nephew of Alhaji Aliko Dangote
