The newly confirmed permanent secretary and Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State, Dr Abubakar Zaki has pledged to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of his duty inorder to assist Kauran Gwandu led administration in Kebbi State.
“You see iam the oldest medical personnel with vast experience working in this hospital and therefore will do all I could to leave a legacy that I will be remembered after I left service ” he added.
Speaking to journalists in his office at Fati Lami hospital in Birnin Kebbi, Dr Zaki commended the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for confirming him as Permanent Secretary and Chief Medical Director of Sir Yahaya Hospital.
He warned people particularly patients against taking self or local medication which according to him, can cause serious aliments such as kidney, heart problems and other diseases.
Dr Zaki also commended the management of the Kebbi State Contributory Health Management Agency (KECHEMA) for efficiency in the improvement of health services in the state.
He noted that the only challenges KECHEMA is facing is additional funds and called on the state government to assist the agency with funds to improve its services.
